Tita and Gina,
We went to support the TAVA-16 team at their fundraiser at Bubbies in Hawaii Kai tonight and it was an awesome experience!
Coach Kaipo, Coach Bill, Coach Garrett, and their team exemplified every core value of TAVA.
As soon as Mylah stepped out of the van, dressed in her TAVA Orange-12 practice uniform, the TAVA-16 team exemplified Ha'a Ha'a and Kupa'a! They were very appreciative and excited to see a "baby" TAVA supporting their team! Without hesitation the team, the coaches, and the parents went above and beyond to recognize Mylah as being a part of the TAVA 'Ohana! At that moment, my 'Ohana felt a sense of inclusiveness! We were all definitely representing the TAVA 'Ohana!
As the line in Bubbies was at times 25+ deep, the TAVA-16's exemplified Manawa Nui! They were so patient! For each and every customer that entered the Bubbies establishment, a member of the team held open the door! For every customer that exited Bubbies, a "Thank-You" was said, and an appreciation was given!
Lamalama Ka'ili was exemplified throughout the night as the girls moved, danced, sang, and included everyone as part of the TAVA 'Ohana!
Lokahi was definitely instilled in each and every TAVA-16 present tonight! As Mylah walked throughout the crowd, each and every TAVA-16 player and coach gave her a, "High-5!" Seeing that experience truly brought together the realization of how an organization can instill such life-long lessons and values!
Words cannot express the sense of appreciation one felt as the crowd interacted with each other tonight! The core values of TAVA were exemplified throughout the evening!
Be proud! We may be miles apart, but the cohesiveness of 'Ohana and TAVA were together as one!
Mahalo for everything and we are proud to be a part of the TAVA 'Ohana!
